In the movie The Fish & The Fly, Morten Oeland fishes with an array of effective dry flies. In the flytying movie on the same DVD, Morten shows us how to tie the flies. All the flies are his own patterns.

Best Caddis Hook:  Partridge, SUD size 10-12. Thread:  Light 12/0 Body:  CDC dubbing, light brown. Wing:  CDC feather, light brown. Hackle:  CDC feather, light brown. Head:  CDC feather, light brown.
BWO Emerger Hook:  Partridge, SLD size 14-16. Thread:  Light 12/0 Tail:  Partridge body feather. Body:  SLF dubbing, brown / olive. Wing:  CDC feather, nature gray. Head:  SLF dubbing, brown and nature grey.
BWO Dun Hook:  Partridge, SUD size 12-14. Thread:  Light 12/0 Tail:  Moose body hair. Body:  CDC dubbing, olive and tan mixed Wing:   CDC feather, nature grey. Hackle:  Rooster feather, Cree. Hackle foundation: Soft foam, olive.
Caddis CDC Emerger Hook:  Partridge, SLD size 14. Thread:  Light 12/0 Wing  CDC feather, light brown and gey. Body:  CDC dubbing, Black. Head:  CDC dubbing, Black.
Foam Caddis Hook: Partridge, SLD size 10. Thread:  Light 12/0 Body:  CDC feather, brown. Wing:  Foam plate 2 mm. olive/brown/tan  Hackle:  CDC feather, brown. Head: Foam plate 2 mm. Antennas: Partridge, body feather.  Eyes:  Marker pen, water resistant, black. Body marks:  Marker pen, water resistant, brown.
Heptagenia Dun Hook:  Partridge, SUD size 12-14. Thread:  Light 12/0 Tail:  Moose body hair. Body: Fain dryfly dubbing, brown Hackle foundation: Soft foam, olive. Wing:  Poly yarn, light fain. Hackle:  Dear hair, dyed brown.
E. Danica Emerger Hook: Partridge, YH1A size 8. Thread: Light 12/0 Tail: Emu body feather nature. Body:  CDC dubbibg, mix of light olive and tan. Wing: CDC feather, nature grey and tan. Hackle: CDC feather, nature grey and tan. Head: CDC dubbing and CDC feather nature grey and tan. Eyes: Marker pen, water resistant, black. Body marks: Marker pen, water resistant, brown.
E. Danica Dun Hook: Partridge, YH1A size 8. Thread: Light 12/0 Tail: Moos body hair. Body: CDC dubbing, mix of light olive and tan. Wing: CDC feather, nature grey and light fain poly yarn. Hackle: Rooster feather, grizzly dyed yellow/olive. Hackle foundation: Soft foam, olive. Head: Soft foam, olive.
Midge Pupa Hook:  Partridge, K14ST size 20. Thread:  Light 12/0 Tail:  CDC feather, white Body:  Tail feather from a big bird, brown/black. Float-Wing:  CDC feathers, brown. Torax and back:  CDC dubbing, black - and brown CDC feathers.
Speed Caddis Hook:  Partridge, YK12ST size 10-16. Thread:  Light 12/0 Body:  CDC dubbing, brown. Wing: CDC feather, dark brown and dear hair dyed brown. Legs: Rubber legs “thin”, black / brown. Head: CDC feathers, Brown.
Foam Stonefly Hook:  Partridge, SUD size 8. Thread:  Light 12/0 Body:  Foam plate 3 mm. brown Hackle:  Rooster feather, grizzly dyed light brown.        Front body:  SLF dubbing, brown. Back and head:  Foam plate 3 mm. brown Wing:  Soft plastic, “plastic bag” Eyes:  Marker pen, water resistant, black. Body marks:  Marker pen, water resistant, brown.
