During the early spring fishing, Thomas quite often uses this white 10gram wobbler. It is a Magic Minnow Trout Runner  - which exists under various different names. It is an inline wobbler. As you can see from the underwater footage in the movie, it kicks excessively while being retrieved – and this can be quite an advantage in the spring, when the water is cold. Thomas quite often mounts some flash on the treble hook to make it extra alluring.

This is a Magic Minnow Trout Runner, too – only in brown. Thomas' experience tells him that this colour is particularly good for spring fishing in the inner parts of the fjords. And in the movie, we see amble proof. While using this wobbler, Thomas almost always mounts a fixed dropper and the fly is a Final Shrimp.

This is a spoon called Hansen Stripper, which has been reversed – i.e. with the broad end pointing backwards. When it is mounted in this way the spoon is called Cola. It has a completely different action in the water when it is mounted this way – it rotates around its own axis. In the movie, we see Thomas demonstrate how he fishes the spoon, so that it changes its rotational direction during the retrieve. Thomas usually uses the 12gram version of the spoon.  

Magic Minnow Salty exists under different names too. Thomas uses it as a good all-round wobbler, and in the movie we see him use the lure for fishing in the “bath tub” close to land. In the movie he uses an 18 gram version of the wobbler. 


Fladbukken 22 gram is an inline spoon that Thomas uses when the are sand eels in the water. With this spoon he shows us a so called hanging spin stop which makes the spoon rotate fast around its own axis while sinking – the sea trout has great difficulty resisting this technique. It is by far all spoons that rotate when they sink – but for instance Smelt, Flipper 15 gram, and Jensen Tobis 16 gram have this ability. And we would love to hear about other spoons that do the same.

Sømmet (The Nail) is a classic spoon for Danish coastal fishing. In the movie, Thomas fishes with the Nail in a situation where there are sand eels close to shore. We see how he fishes the Nail successfully using fast and fragmented movements. The single hook is mounted with flash. The underwater footage in the movie shows exactly why this spoon is so suitable for the technique that Thomas recommends for imitating sand eels.

Geheimnisse der Meerforellen 3 

Im Film "Geheimnisse der Meerforellen 3 - Spinnfischen/Frühjahr" sehen wir Thomas Hansen, wie er mit verschiedenen Blinkern fischt. Man sieht dort ihren Gang im Wasser, und er erzählt, wie und wann er die verschiedenen Blinker einsetzt.
Hier sind die Blinker und Riggs, mit denen Thomas im Film fischt, versehen mit kurzen Kommentaren.

Am Frühjahrsanfang verwendet Thomas oft diesen weissen 10 Gramm Wobbler. Es ist ein Magic Minnow Trout Runner, den es im Übrigen unter verschiedenen Namen zu kaufen gibt. Es ist ein Durchläufer. Wie man auf den Unterwasseraufnahmen im Film sieht, schlägt er nicht viel aus, was am Frühlingsanfang bei kaltem Wasser zuweilen ein Vorteil sein kann. Thomas bringt oft ein paar Flashstreifen am Drilling an, um die Lockwirkung zu erhöhen.

Dies ist auch ein Magic Minnow Trout Runner, nur in Braun. Thomas hat die Erfahrung gemacht, dass diese Farbe am Frühlingsanfang im Fjord besonders fängig ist. Dies sieht man im Film recht deutlich. Hier verwendet er fast immer einen festmontierten Aufhänger, eine Final Shrimp-Fliege.

Dies ist der Stripper-Blinker, andersherum montiert, also mit dem breiten Ende hinten. So angebracht wird er Cola genannt. Er hat dadurch einen völlig anderen Gang im Wasser, er rotiert nämlich um seinen eigene Achse. Im Film demonstriert Thomas, wie man den Blinker fischen muss, damit er die Drehrichtung  beim Einholen ändert. Thomas verwendet zumeist die 12 Gramm Version.

Den Magic Minnow Salty findet man auch unter anderen Bezeichnungen. Für Thomas ist es ein guter Allround-Wobbler. Im Film verwendet er ihn beim Fischen in der "Badewanne", dicht am Ufer. Im Film ist der Wobbler 18 Gramm schwer.

Den "Fladbukken" in der 22 Gramm Version als Durchläufer verwendet Thomas dann, wenn Tobiasfische da sind. Mit diesem Blinker zeigt er den sogenannten hängenden Spinnstop, bei dem der Blinker sich schnell um seine eigene Achse dreht, während er absinkt - dem kann die Meerforelle nur schwer widerstehen. Es sind längst nicht alle Blinker, die sich beim Absinken drehen - aber z.B. "Smelt" und "Flipper" (15 Gramm) und "Jensen Tobis" (16 Gramm) haben diese Eigenschaft. Wir hören gerne von anderen Blinkern, die dies können.

"Sømmet" ist der Klassiker des Angelns an den Küsten Dänemarks. Im Film fischt Thomas mit dem "Sømmet" in einer Situation, in der Tobias an der Küste sind. Wir sehen, wie er ihn erfolgreich mit schnellen und ruckartigen Bewegungen fischt. Der Einzelhaken ist mit Flashstreifen versehen. Die Unterwasseraufnahmen zeigen, warum dieser Blinker so gut für die von Thomas empfohlene Technik der Tobiasfischimitation geeignet ist.
